The natural event will occur for a few hours on the night of December. 20 to December. 21. Unlike a sun eclipse, a lunar eclipse can usually be see from one's own backyard. Next year, there will be two total lunar eclipses. he first, on June 15 and another on December 10 which will be visible over the western half of North America before moonset.
